Interview with Tramp Press, Ireland

While I was in Bantry at the West Cork Literary Festival I landed a 15 minute slot with Sarah Davis-Goff of Tramp Press. I pitched my completed novel ‘Nothing Is Secret Which Will Not Be Known’ without setting the heather alight, but when I mentioned the novel I’m working on (placeholder title ‘Murdoch and The Loughties’ about a secret community hiding in plain sight who have lived by their own values for centuries, but whose security becomes threatened when an outsider rescues one of their clan, a red-haired female warrior. In turn he has to be rescued by her and brought to their hiding place. That the Loughties have developed some (apparently) magical powers may have tipped the balance with Sarah because she became a lot more interested. To make The family descendants of the cannibalistic Sawney Bean clan from 16th century Galloway was a creative decision of which Sarah was firmly in favour!

But alas, I’m only half-way through so when I’m finished she will be on the list pf publishers/agents I’ll send out to.
